What’s that over there,

in this river of dreams?

Could it be a reflection

of the sun’s color schemes?

Its glimmer sways slowly along with the breeze

and so does the scent of sweet water lilies.

As I inhale, I begin to realize

there’s more than just blue to these summer skies.

The grass whispers to me so soft and so slow,

“Get ready now, for it’s your time to grow.”

The swirling of water, the buzzing of bees,

and the song of the sparrow makes me weak at the knees.

It made me stop, think, and wonder why

before, at nature, I did not bat an eye.

Although nature’s symphony didn’t just start,

today is the day it has touched my heart.
